Ants in my house

They showed up yesterday. Very small brown or black ants. You could barely see them in the carpet. The yall (20) seemed to be in one area, so as I squished them I marked thier location (with bits of tp). I tried to watch a few and see where they were coming from too. I think I found the entry point, it was a small hole inbetween the baseboard and the carpet.

I totally cleaned the area, then wiped the baseboards with bleach wipes to clean the trails. Then I put a light dusting of bait along the baseboards (10 ft) and put out three of those anttraps (those round things that you punch holes in).

A few have shown up since, but not many. I think I may have caught the invasion early enough. I keep checking other areas of the basement for signs; none yet. This invasion seems later in the season than usual. I have noticed that the outdoor ants are a little late as well. Maybe this winter was tough on them.
